Are my images sent to a server?

No. The images are read and combined into a PDF in your browser only.

Do iPhone photos (HEIC) work?

Safari on iPhone and Mac can open HEIC; other browsers may not. Set the camera to JPG or export the photos as JPG first.

How large is the PDF?

Images are scaled to at most 2,480 pixels on the long side (A4 at 300 dpi) and compressed as JPG, so the file stays small and text stays sharp.
